Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 12 months related experience preferred.
• Annual BLS certification required.
• Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians desired.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia staff as requested.
• Anticipates needs for invasive procedures.
• Preps patients for invasive monitoring procedures.
• Assists with preparation and positioning of patients for anesthesia.
• Monitors and ensures equipment readiness in OR.
• Performs daily checks of anesthetizing locations and equipment.
• Assists with regional anesthesia procedures under supervision.
• Trains new anesthesia technicians and supports QA activities.
• Maintains and inventories anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Supports safe, cost-effective anesthesia care according to policy.
