Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking an Anesthesia Technician who will operate under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with patient care and preparing the anesthesia station. You will help with equipment setup, monitor anesthesia supplies, transport patients, and support the operating room team during various procedures such as block insertions and rapid transfusions.

Qualifications

• The anesthesia technician has a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous OR, anesthesia or EMT training preferred but not required.
• Mandatory Reporter Training must be completed within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, prepare the anesthesia station and assist with patient care.
• Maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies and medications in operating rooms.
• Assist in procedures with anesthesia providers and transport patients as needed.
• Proficiently handle anesthesia equipment and ensure a safe environment.
