Job summary

Eagle is seeking a Supervisor, Analytical Chemistry (2nd Shift) to lead the analytical chemistry team focused on raw material, finished product, and stability testing in a pharmaceutical laboratory in Houston. The role drives quality and regulatory compliance, ensures timely testing, maintains instrumentation, and coordinates cross-shift work while mentoring staff and promoting cGMP-aligned documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or higher in Analytical Chemistry with 3–4 years of lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Analytical Chemistry or related field with relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Experience with sample prep and wet chemistry per compendial procedures.
• Strong understanding of instrumental analysis in a modern chemistry lab.
• Proficiency with lab computer systems and data integrity practices.
• Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling and perform routine/non-routine analytical testing of materials and finished products.
• Review test results for accuracy, notify management of out-of-spec results, and lead investigations.
• Supervise maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment to ensure calibration status.
• Ensure team proficiency with SOPs and systems for raw material, finished product, and stability analyses.
• Stay current with advances in analytical techniques and regulatory expectations (cGMP).
• Provide leadership across workstations and coordinate cross-training and backup coverage.
