Job summary

Eagle Analytical in Houston, TX seeks a Supervisor, Analytical Chemistry: Raw Material Testing to lead the analytical chemistry team focusing on raw material analyses for pharma manufacturing. You will drive testing accuracy, schedule analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will oversee instrument maintenance (HPLC/GC/FTIR/UV-Vis/TOC), mentor staff, and ensure data integrity in all documentation. A strong background in analytical chemistry is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 3–4 years in an analytical chemistry lab within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with sample preparative chemistry and wet chemistry analysis per compendial procedures.
• Understanding of instrumental analysis procedures in a modern chemistry lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, schedule and perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw material samples per procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and interpret test results for accuracy and compliance; notify management of out-of-spec results and lead investigations.
• Supervise maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC, Wet Chemistry).
• Ensure team proficiency with equipment, systems, and SOPs specific to raw material analysis.
• Keep current with advances in analytical techniques and regulatory expectations for raw material testing in pharma.
