This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and reliability. A Guard Card is preferred, minimum age 18, HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and possibly a driving license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control entry and exit of commercial vehicles, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and direct authorized drivers to designated areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report relevant information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
