Job summary

The DC 3rd Class Engineer at CBS performs tours and daily watches to ensure safe system operations and peak performance of MEP systems. He/She operates installed equipment, maintains required temperatures and humidity, and monitors BAS displays and alarms for optimal control.

Qualified candidates possess a stationary engineer license (DC Class 3), strong steam plant knowledge, and experience with CMMS and BMS systems.

Qualifications

• Valid stationary engineer license equivalent to Class 3 Steam Engineer (DC) required
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration theory, piping, plant operations and equipment maintenance
• Experience with computerized monitoring systems and automated control technologies
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs for industrial equipment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Perform tours and daily watches to monitor safe system operations and maintain systems at peak performance
• Operate and manage installed equipment, maintain target temperatures and humidity levels, and monitor BAS displays and alarms
• Install, service, and maintain MEP systems including preventive maintenance and service calls
• Utilize CMMS and Building Management Systems (BMS) tools to track maintenance activities and issues
