Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our Nottingham, PA team. This full-time role offers on-site work with a 3pm-1am schedule and potential for additional hours based on business needs.

The position includes medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, plus an on-site Marathon Health Clinic and referral programs. Eligible for up to a $250 retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training.
• Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
• Good balance on slippery surfaces.
• Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
• Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Ability to repair equipment breakdowns in a timely and thorough manner.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• Other duties may be assigned.
