Job summary

School of Medicine, Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety seeks a Simulation Patient Evaluator to participate in medical simulations and assess students. Existing Standardized Patients may take on grading responsibilities as part of their duties.

The role involves adapting to varied hours and completing SP training with event-specific grading parameters where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SP in the program (current or past).
• Strong memory recall and ability to provide different forms of feedback.
• Six months or more as a Standardized Patient (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participate in medical simulations to create realistic educational encounters for students.
• Perform duties of an Evaluator-Standardized Patient, including grading students.
• Training in SP procedures and event-specific grading parameters (optional).

Position Responsibilities:

Standardized Patients are used in medical simulations to create realistic educational encounters with medical students. Students gain valuable experience practicing communication and exam techniques. Evaluators-Standardized Patient perform these duties with theaddition of grading students.Standard SP training as well as training in the gradingparameters of each event (optional).

Hours:

As needed, per business and client need (varies).

Required Qualifications:

Must have experience as an SP in our program, current or past member. Performance, excellent memory recall, ability to provide different forms of feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

Having worked as a Standardized Patient, current or previous, for at least six months.
