Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking a Power Electronics Design and Release Engineer to drive design, validation, and release of high‑voltage PECs for electrified vehicles. You will partner with suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions from concept through production.

The role demands 5+ years in power electronics, strong DFMEA/DVP&R experience, and hands‑on capability with analysis tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with high‑voltage and/or power electronics components, preferably automotive.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, protocols, and standards.
Hands‑on experience in applications engineering and product design/development.
Experience developing and executing DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans.
Proficiency with power electronics analysis and simulation tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams and communicate with customers/suppliers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SMEs to develop cost‑effective PECs using advanced technologies, simulations, and test equipment.
Define and develop DVP&R and execute testing to meet objectives.
Support creation of component specs from vehicle, system, and software requirements.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
Participate in supplier technical assessments with SMEs.
Conduct post‑test failure analysis and update specifications as needed.
Track progress of development, verification, and production activities.
Assist in reporting progress at team and program reviews.
