Job summary
FEV Group is seeking an Onboard Charging (OBC) Systems Engineer to develop, validate, and optimize onboard charging solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles. The role covers requirements development, charging control strategies, and system integration with high-voltage architectures, collaborating across software, controls, calibration, and hardware teams.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in OBC/EV charging, experience with MiL/SiL/HiL testing, and knowledge of ISO 26262 and
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- 3+ years in Onboard Charging Systems or EV charging.
- Strong understanding of onboard charger architectures.
- Experience with system and functional requirements development.
- US citizen or Greencard required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system-level and functional requirements.
- Design and optimize charging control strategies for AC charging.
- Lead integration with high-voltage vehicle architectures.
- Support hardware and software development for prototypes.
- Perform MiL/SiL/HiL bench and vehicle testing.
- Analyze charging performance, thermal behavior, and fault management.
- Develop and execute test plans for charging functionality and standards.
- Collaborate with software, controls, calibration, and hardware teams.
- Support issue investigation and corrective actions.
- Ensure safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions.
