EV Material Planner: Drive Production Readiness

Job summary

Lucid Motors in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Material Planner to strengthen production readiness by improving supply planning, supplier communication, and inventory visibility in a high‑volume EV environment.

The onsite role owns material coverage for assigned commodities, supports shortage mitigation, and helps reduce disruptions from supplier constraints, lead times and obsolescence while partnering across Purchasing, NPI, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 years of material planning, supply chain, production planning, or related experience.
• 2 years of supplier management or supplier operations experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, Office, Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate material requirements to suppliers via MRP.
• Own day-to-day supplier follow-up to protect delivery and production continuity.
• Provide clear-to-build status and risk visibility for planning decisions.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, NPI, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Logistics.
• Manage planning parameters and inventory signals to balance service levels and costs.
• Use data and what-if analyses to adjust plans as needed.
• Lead or support projects to improve OTIF and reduce lead times.
