Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex interior engineering systems for EV programs. You will scope work, plan requirements, identify risks, and manage budgets across a high-performing group from ideation through design, testing, and industrialization.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, finance, and strategy, with a focus on cost, weight, and integration targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management in an engineering setting involving hardware development.
• Detailed knowledge of product development process from design, development, validation and integration.
• Knowledge of materials, processes & technologies used to deliver Interior engineering content.
• Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program’s schedule to SOP and ongoing production.
• Maintain supplier relationships in collaboration with Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events.
• Monitor work outputs and deliverables for potential systems and vehicle incompatibilities and opportunities for greater integration, velocity, and collaboration.
• Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk mitigating actions are ongoing within relevant engineering teams.
• Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.
• Travel up to 15% of the time.
• Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions.
