Job summary

Atoms seeks a Real Estate Development Manager to own end-to-end EV infrastructure site delivery—from acquisitions to energization. You will lead projects across multiple markets, coordinating design, permitting, construction, and utilities to scale our Smart Infra network.

This hands-on builder role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to deliver complex sites quickly. Based in the US with a competitive rewards package.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of real estate development or technical infrastructure development.
• 7–10 years domain experience in EV charging, electrical infrastructure, data centers, industrial facilities, logistics, energy, or high-power development.
• 5–7 years managing teams or leading cross-functional project groups.
• Ideal background includes EV charging, transportation electrification, regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of EV infrastructure development projects: site selection, acquisitions, design, permitting, construction, utilities coordination, commissioning, and launch.
• Build and execute detailed project plans balancing speed, cost, electrical requirements, grid capacity, and readiness.
• Own cross-functional communication across Construction, Engineering, Grid/Utility, Finance, and Operations to drive alignment.
• Navigate permits, AHJ requirements, zoning, environmental compliance, and state/local regulations.
• Negotiate LOIs for site acquisition, leases, and purchase agreements.
• Partner with utility providers to secure power availability and energization.
• Forecast project health from technical/financial data and present recommendations to leadership.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team delivering multiple sites concurrently.
• Build scalable processes and playbooks for rapid expansion.
