Job summary

Atoms seeks a Real Estate Development Manager in New York to own end-to-end EV infrastructure site delivery—from acquisitions to energization. You will lead complex projects, coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Grid/Utility, Finance, and Operations, and guide a team through permitting, design, and construction at speed.

You will build scalable processes, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive high-quality sites across multiple markets to meet rapidly growing charging needs.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical decision-making for large-scale projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across complex programs.
• Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure and EV charging.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders and vendors.
• Knowledge of local/state permitting, zoning, and development regulations.
• Attention to detail with high-velocity execution.
• Experience with cross-market scalability and playbook development.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of EV infrastructure development: site selection, acquisitions, design, permitting, construction, utilities coordination, commissioning, and launch.
• Develop detailed project plans balancing speed, cost, electrical requirements, grid capacity, and readiness.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Grid/Utility, Finance, and Operations to align priorities and unblock critical items.
• Navigate AHJ requirements, zoning, environmental compliance, and state/local regulations.
• Draft LOIs for site acquisition, leases, and purchase agreements.
• Partner with utilities to secure power availability, transformer upgrades, and energization.
• Analyze technical/financial data to forecast project health and present leadership with actionable findings.
• Build and mentor a high-performing development team to handle multiple sites.
• Create scalable processes and playbooks to support rapid expansion.
