Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and extensive operations management experience.
• 12+ years’ experience in operations management in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills interfacing with all plant levels.
• Strong understanding of automotive General Assembly, production, maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the General Assembly Team to hit safety, quality, production and cost goals.
• Support production processes focusing on safety, delivery, cost and morale.
• Oversee General Assembly personnel including hourly and salary staff.
• Review daily expenditures and resolve anomalies.
• Lead change management, coach employees, and drive engagement.
• Ensure audit compliance and drive improvements in safety and quality.
• Coordinate launches, cost improvements and product safety initiatives.
• Monitor launch curves and apply PDCA where needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering on project plans.
• Eliminate waste and foster teamwork and proactive problem solving.
