Job summary

Orange EV is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform regional field service, diagnose and repair electric vehicles, and provide root cause analysis. You will use the Remote Monitoring System, maintain service records, and support sales and marketing with technical expertise.

You will travel as needed for initial training and to meet service team goals, while collaborating with customers and third-party providers to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, TEAMS).

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle at a systemic level to diagnose and repair.
• Represent Orange EV in a professional manner.
• Utilize Remote Monitoring System to determine service plan and priorities.
• Record all service activity in the service record-keeping system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers to aid in diagnosis.
• Collaborate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare a condition report.
• Support customer technicians and third-party providers with repairs.
• Provide secure location for tools and parts.
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training, plus sales support.
• Travel as required for training and achieving goals.
