Job summary

Orange EV is seeking an Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician in Columbia, SC to diagnose, repair, and maintain local Orange EV vehicles. You will use remote monitoring data, perform field upgrades, and collaborate with customers and third-party service providers.

The role requires problem-solving, customer service, and an analytical approach, with 1+ year in automotive or electrical industries and the ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs. Travel for training and service goals is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries
• MS Office Suite experience including Excel, Word, and TEAMS
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle at a systemic level to diagnose and repair
• Represent Orange EV professionally
• Use Remote Monitoring System to plan service and prioritize needs
• Accurately record all service activity in the system
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for diagnosis and escalation
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and report condition
• Support Customer Technicians and Third-Party Service Providers with repairs
• Provide secure storage for tools and parts on site
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and assist sales/business development
• Travel as required for initial training and ongoing team goals
