Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a Field Service Technician to service EVs and charging stations at customer sites. You will perform OEM-approved testing and repairs, diagnose malfunctions, and maintain detailed records.

Training will cover Level 2 to DC Fast Chargers, with emphasis on uptime and safety in a fast-paced field role. The position requires 5+ years in EV/HD fleet repair, CDL and ASE/OEM certifications, and a willingness to work depot hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years Electrician/EV/Medium/Heavy duty fleet repair experience.
• Advanced diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Office Suite.
• Tools for Medium Duty technician and electrical diagnostics tooling are expected.
• Clean driving record; flexible hours including weekends as needed.
• CDL within 12 months; minimum 3 ASE certifications; minimum 4 OEM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs EV and charger repairs to restore uptime.
• Perform OEM-approved testing, repairs, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in managing external support vendors and junior technician staff.
• Performs road calls and on-site repairs; attend OEM/internal trainings.
