Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will work under senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service from a service center with possible travel.

The role emphasizes learning the EV framework, tools, and proper safety procedures while maintaining documentation and engaging with customers professionally. This position may involve remote work elements or mobile service as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency preferred.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• Availability for a standard 40-hour workweek including potential shifts.
• Flexibility for travel to regional locations or production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments, and work order systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality.
• Road tests after repair to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory, and work orders.
• Maintain detailed notes and documentation for repairs.
