Job summary

AXISCADES is seeking an Embedded Controls Engineer for a fulltime permanent role in Columbus, IN. The engineer will work on MATLAB/Simulink algorithm development, CAN communication analysis, and EV/Hybrid vehicle software integration across cross-functional teams.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, hands-on experience with in-vehicle validation tools, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with MATLAB SIMULINK is required.
• In-vehicle validation with CAN tools and J1939 is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Investigate embedded software problems, determine root cause, document results and validation.
• Decide on software requirements, implementation and testing impact on subsystems.
• Troubleshoot software and electrical integration issues across vehicle systems.
• Analyze CAN communication and vehicle data for feature integration and performance.
• Support diagnostics development and electrification product validation.
• Conduct bench or vehicle testing to verify features and robustness.
