Job summary

LER TechForce seeks a Principal Embedded Controls Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, with national travel to U.S. worksites. Telecommuting permitted 2 days/week. You will deliver embedded controls solutions for automotive systems, mentor junior engineers, and lead safety and calibration reviews.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years in embedded automotive control experience, including powertrain, brakes, and BMS. Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow is expected.

Qualifications

• Design and testing of embedded control systems for automotive applications.
• Experience with control software lifecycles and requirements management.
• Proficiency in memory allocation, programming standards, and microcontroller peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver embedded controls solutions for automotive systems to optimize performance and safety.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to embedded controls teams.
• Coordinate feature reviews and safety analyses (FMEA/FTA) for software features.
