Job summary

FastTek Global in Troy, MI seeks an experienced Wiring and Triage Engineer to lead electrical component development and integration for EV applications. The role reports to the Manager of Electrical Architecture and Power Distribution and requires hands-on schematic work, LV/HV component handling, and CAN/LIN/Ethernet diagnostics.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration, lead problem solving with manufacturing and suppliers, and apply

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited or equivalent program in Electrical/ Electronics/ Software Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 5 years of automotive electrical design and release experience.
• Hands-on with schematic creation and supplier transmittals.
• Experience with LV components (breakers, relays, wiring).
• Experience with HV components (DCDC, motor, inverter, battery, OBC).
• Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS diagnostics.
• Knowledge of FMVSSS, NHTSA, DOT, USCAR, SAE, NEC.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define 2D wiring schemes for base vehicle and accessories.
• Create schematics for wiring harnesses and control modules.
• Support CAD designs ensuring compatibility with vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for integration.
• Lead problem solving with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Apply LEAN engineering methodologies across tasks.
