Job summary

The New York Power Authority is seeking a strategic, customer-focused professional to develop and execute commercial management and retention strategies for NYPA customers, including e‑Mobility initiatives. You will leverage market knowledge and data analytics to identify opportunities and ensure profitable relationships across energy solutions.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Service Providers, manage budgets and bids, and support contract negotiations while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business (economics, finance, marketing) or technical field (engineering or science) required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
• PMP or other project/program/product management certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight and coordination of in-house and external resources for activities related to the department's function and goals.
• Support adherence to vendor service level agreements and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance.
• Assist with developing & managing Operations presentations, project funding requests, budgets, forecasts, and bid documents; assist with evaluating bid proposals and making award recommendations.
• Partner with Engineering, Customers or Service Providers in developing/negotiating contract purchase/change orders, preparing invoices and coordinating site outages, coordinate quality testing/inspections.
• Support and contribute to all project documentation including drawings, technical specifications, assessment reports, asset and risk registry, budgets, forecasts, invoices, schedules, variances, etc.
• Perform occasional emergency response, including outside of normal business hours.
