Zero Impact Solutions in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the CSMS platform for thousands of charging stations. You will own roadmaps, coordinate engineers across backend, firmware and field ops, and work with utilities and enterprise fleets.

This hands-on role requires 7+ years in technical programs, deep OCPP expertise, .NET/C#, WebSocket scaling, and cloud tech (Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical program or engineering management delivering backend or IoT platforms.
• 3+ years in EV charging, energy, telematics or connected-device systems.
• Fluent in OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1; read traces and explain transactions and lifecycles.
• Strong .NET Core / C# backend knowledge; design reviews and arch. input.
• Hands-on experience with WebSocket-based, long-lived connections at scale.
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable).
• Proven track record shipping multi-quarter programs with hardware dependencies.
• Structured risk management and decision making; maintain risk registers.
• Clear written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own CSMS roadmap, scope, gates and release cadence.
• Translate requirements into epics, milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Lead quarterly planning and risk reporting to leadership.
• Prioritize charger onboarding, integrations and platform reliability.
• Oversee OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1 implementation and migration plans.
• Define certification matrices and interoperability test plans.
• Coordinate with vendors, field ops and customers for onboarding.
• Ensure security, compliance and audit-ready records.
• Coach engineers and junior PMs on protocol fluency.
