Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled Body Technician for our Albuquerque, NM shop to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs and guide the team to keep on-time status. You will work with fellow technicians to complete high-quality repairs in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has frame machine experience, I-CAR welding certification, knowledge of repair processes, and the ability to supervise apprentices. We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine to accurately align vehicles.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certified.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel and guide apprentices.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs with on-time status in mind.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, electrical components, and trim to access areas.
• Attends safety meetings as required.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs an apprentice when needed and explains procedures.
