Job summary

Plug is seeking a Buyer to join the Business Development team onsite in Sawtelle, Los Angeles. You will source inventory from the public and dealer partners, handle valuations, negotiations, inspections, and purchasing while guiding customers through the sale process.

The ideal candidate is analytically oriented with an interest in EVs, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to evaluate vehicle value, demand, and pricing trends.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with basic business software tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM platforms) and comfort working with data.
• Ability to collaborate among multiple business units.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment are important.
• Direct experience with auto auctions as a used car buyer or in the estimating of damage to automobiles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound leads and provide valuations on electric vehicles.
• Analyze market data and identify trends to mitigate risk.
• Perform quality evaluations of vehicles to ensure accurate values.
• Convert inquiries at a high rate while maintaining profitability
• Guide customers through the Plug’s sale process step by step. You will be their point of contact throughout the whole process.
• Assist with various individual or collaborative projects as needed and follow up after completion.
• Multi-task in a high energy, fast paced work environment while always looking for ways to improve processes.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service
