Job summary

Plug is seeking a Buyer to join the Business Development team in Sawtelle (Between Santa Monica & West LA). You will source inventory from the public market and dealer partners, handle valuations, negotiations, inspections, purchasing and post-sale items.

Ideal candidates are analytically minded with 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, comfort with data and CRM tools, and the ability to interact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills and market research to evaluate vehicle value and pricing trends.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Comfort with basic business software tools (spreadsheets, CRM) and data analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple business units.
• Attention to detail and sound judgment in fast-paced settings.
• Direct experience with auto auctions as a buyer or damage estimator is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound leads and provide valuations on electric vehicles.
• Analyze market data and identify trends to mitigate risk.
• Perform quality evaluations of vehicles to ensure accurate values.
• Convert inquiries at a high rate while maintaining profitability.
• Guide customers through the Plug's sale process step by step as their contact throughout the process.
• Assist with various projects and follow up after completion.
• Multitask in a high energy, fast-paced environment and seek process improvements.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
