Job summary

Johnson Controls in Glendale, KY seeks an Operations Manager to lead the hard services for a new EV battery plant. You will manage MEP equipment, coordinate a technical team, and ensure preventive maintenance and lifecycle planning meet contract requirements.

Responsibilities include budget development, customer liaison, and overseeing safety and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and ability to read blueprints are essential for continuous operations and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in Facility Management.
• Minimum 5 years in HVAC, Facilities, Housing, or related field.
• At least 2 years of management leadership experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA codes and regulations.
• BOMA and/or IFMA designation (RPA/CFM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hard services of the facility including MEP equipment to support uninterrupted operations.
• Lead a technical staff and scheduler/planners, manage preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain client relationships with transparent communication and contract alignment.
• Plan budgets, lifecycle activities, and oversee change orders and warranty matters.
• Read blueprints/as-built drawings and ensure work complies with technical provisions.
