Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to support the installation, validation, trial, and launch of EV battery manufacturing equipment on site in Liberty, NC. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly operations, calendering/rolling processes, laser cutting/welding, and collaboration with machine builders and production teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
Hands-on assembly operations experience required.
Experience with manufacturing equipment installation and launch.
Experience with calendering/rolling equipment.
Experience with laser cutting and/or laser welding.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement, validation, installation, trials and launch of EV battery equipment.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking.
Create manufacturing process plans and equipment specifications.
Coordinate installation with machine builders, vendors, and construction teams.
Monitor installation and address safety, quality, cost, or schedule issues.
Provide engineering feedback on equipment sizing and installation requirements.
Plan and coordinate pre-production and mass-production trials.
Verify equipment performance against design and production needs.
