Job summary

Critical Fit Recruiting seeks a Sr. Applications Engineer for Electric Vehicles in the Bay Area, CA. You will lead technical support for customers, coordinating with global sales and service teams to ensure on-time delivery and strong technical engagement.

You will build trusted relationships with key contacts, drive customer opportunities, and collaborate on coating applications and manufacturing processes on production lines. Travel 15-20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience supporting customers in the electronics industry is strongly preferred
• Experience with the application of coatings and manufacturing processes is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for customers by working closely with our global sales and field-deployed global technical service teams.
• Be a trusted technical expert to our customers and establish and maintain positive relationships with key technical contacts and decision makers at our customers
• Own and drive the on-time completion of customer activities, including leading technical calls with customers, managing customer samples, and experimental support for the customer opportunities they own
• Understand and implement coating application approaches on a variety of customer samples in customers’ production lines with our field-deployed technical team
• Communicate technical advances internally with other members of the company and be able to engage customers on the details of products
• Establish relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers to expand capabilities and address customer needs
• Frequent travel to visit customers on site in the Bay area is expected, with additional international and domestic business travel (15-20%) expected.
