Job summary

ASML US in California seeks a Senior Plasma and Laser Physics Engineer to own the development of Cymer DUV laser discharge chambers and to drive innovative core technologies. You will validate concepts, perform experiments, and document results in collaboration with PMs, technical marketing, and system engineers.

Requirements include a Master’s degree (PhD preferred), strong MATLAB/Python analytics, and CAD experience; visa sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physics, Plasma Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
• PhD strongly preferred; 3+ years in industry or research with relevant expertise.
• Experience with plasma-material interaction and gas-state laser physics.

Responsibilities

• Own design, validation and review of Cymer DUV laser discharge chambers.
• Drive core technology development to improve chamber performance.
• Prototype builds, system-level testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with program managers, marketing and system engineers.
• Prepare technical memos, specifications and validation reports.
• Lead and participate in external collaborations as needed.
