Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Manager, Operational Risk & Controls – Europe to strengthen risk posture across Europe. You will provide independent 2LoD oversight on both tech and non-tech processes, and champion the ORC framework across Europe with strong focus on risk identification, control evaluation and remediation management.

You will work with ORC Global Function, 1LoD, regulators, and governance committees to ensure EU regulatory expectations are met and reporting is clear and timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CRISC/CISA/CIA welcome is not mandatory.
• 6–8 years in operational risk, internal controls, or assurance related to financial services/payments.
• Strong ORC/ERM knowledge: RCSA, risk & control registers, testing and issues management.
• Familiar with EU regulatory expectations and regulator interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2LoD oversight across Europe for technology and non-technology risk and controls.
• Facilitate RCSAs and maintain risk and control registers per ORC standards.
• Review control designs, testing results, and remediation plans; drive timely closure.
• Produce management reporting for governance forums and track risk trends.
