Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking an International Category Manager to join our European Strategic Sourcing Team. You will help develop category strategies across multiple European markets, collaborate with local and global stakeholders, and ensure high-quality ingredients and packaging at the best costs.

The role can be based in Paris or Berlin, with openings across categories including Protein, Produce, Herbs and Fruits, Grocery & Dairy, and Packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, finance, or science.
• Minimum of 3 years in strategic procurement or production, preferably in food or food-packaging, or as a management consultant with operations focus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative, ability to work independently and drive implementation.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in global, flexible team structures.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with track record of cross-functional projects.
• Comfortable contributing to and managing projects, including developing new processes, SLAs, and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Shape the category strategy across European markets, aligned with business objectives and supply chain needs.
• Own supplier relationships and negotiate terms across markets with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive cost savings by leveraging volumes and improving processes across markets.
• Build robust cost models, run make-or-buy analyses and monitor key commodity prices.
• Forecast future cost pricing using data, industry knowledge, and AI tools; track market trends and regulatory changes.
• Lead projects, mentor juniors and working students, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
