Job summary

Motor Works West is a family-owned European specialty shop in Wyckoff, NJ, seeking an experienced Service Advisor. This commission-based role rewards performance with earnings tied to weekly gross profit and potential to exceed six figures depending on sales and production.

Responsibilities include guiding customers through repairs, reviewing DVIs, preparing estimates, and selling needed services while maintaining exceptional customer communication across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive Service Advisor experience preferred.
• Strong automotive sales skills and ability to present repairs and upsell.
• Comfort with customer communication and DVIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer communication and the service experience from initial contact through final payment.
• Review technician inspections and DVIs, organize findings, and explain repairs to customers.
• Prepare and review repair orders and estimates for accuracy, including parts pricing.
• Present repair recommendations and handle questions to secure needed services.
• Source and order parts to support repair workflow.
• Keep customers updated by phone, text, email, or in person.
• Handle payments and day-to-day front-office tasks.
• Build customer relationships and support long-term retention.
