Job summary

PNW Automotive in Astoria, OR is seeking an experienced auto mechanic who prefers diagnosing problems to guessing at fixes. We are a family-owned shop on the Oregon Coast, serving European and domestic vehicles with real diagnostic capability and a strong emphasis on proper repairs.

You’ll work a Tuesday–Friday schedule with four days on and three days off, receive a compensation package based on skill and experience, and enjoy medical/dental/vision, life, 401(k) with match, FSA, dependent FSA,

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional experience as a mechanic or automotive technician.
• Confident in mechanical skills and problem solving.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to use a laptop daily for inspections and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance, repairs, and electrical/drivability diagnostics.
• Inspect each vehicle, document findings clearly for the service advisor.
• Explain repairs and verification with a test drive.
• Follow shop processes and keep bay clean and safe.
