Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer - ETL/Informatica Developer to design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines spanning mainframe and relational sources. You will ensure data quality and performance while coordinating with Business Analysts, QA, and application teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter/PowerExchange, SQL optimization, and documentation in an in-office environment across multiple U.S. locations including Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant professional experience in ETL/BI data integration.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent).
Experience with mainframe data sources (VSAM, COBOL copybooks, DB2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings for enterprise data integration.
Build and support data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange.
Extract and process data from mainframe sources (VSAM, flat files, COBOL copybooks, DB2).
Implement complex data transformations and business rules.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
Work with relational databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, SQL Server, or Teradata.
Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and provide support.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Create and maintain technical documentation (mappings, workflows).
Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and application teams to clarify data requirements.
