The Software Engineer Senior within PNC's Enterprise Technology organization will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; or Dallas, TX.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS/IDMC – CDI, CAI), including reusable mappings, workflows, and frameworks.
• Apply advanced techniques such as performance tuning, partitioning, and error handling to ensure efficient, reliable processing of high-volume data.
• Build and support end‑to‑end data pipelines across system‑of‑record platforms using industry‑standard ETL design patterns, including delta processing and reconciliation.
• Leverage strong SQL and database expertise (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, MongoDB) to analyze, optimize, and manage complex queries and large datasets across ODS and data warehouse environments.
• Implement and enforce data quality, validation, and cleansing frameworks, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with governance standards, including lineage and metadata management.
• Support DevOps and release management processes, including environment migrations and deployment coordination (e.g., uDeploy), while demonstrating strong ownership, problem‑solving ability, and effective stakeholder communication.
• Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Write code, test, and deploy software.
• Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Maintain and debug software.

Qualifications

1. University/college degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (3+ years of relevant industry experience).
2. Strong experience with ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, IICS/IDMC) and data integration concepts.
3. Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
4. Experience with performance tuning, partitioning, and large‑volume data pipelines.
5. Familiarity with data quality and governance frameworks.
6. Experience with DevOps tools and release management (e.g., uDeploy).
7. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team while managing multiple priorities.

Compensations and Benefits

Base Salary: $40,000.00 – $158,125.00 (varies by location, experience, and education). Role is incentive eligible with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
