Job summary

Dunwoody is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Ethics on a part-time basis in a blended environment. The instructor will engage students through Dunwoody’s LMS, applying high-impact, learner-centered practices and equitable support to promote student success.

The role requires a master’s degree (in the subject or education with related credentials) and a commitment to professional development, collaboration, and timely communication with students and administrators.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in the subject taught.
  • Either a master’s degree plus 18 graduate credits in the subject areas, or a master’s in education with a related bachelor’s degree and evidence of ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a learner-centered classroom environment that supports equitable student learning and success.
  • Teach established student learning outcomes and curriculum through Dunwoody’s LMS.
  • Use diverse engagement and assessment methods to meet course outcomes.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate grades and attendance records.
  • Prepare and distribute syllabi per guidelines.
  • Evaluate students based on academic performance and intervene as needed.
  • Submit information related to duties to college administrators promptly.
  • Be accessible to students outside class hours via email, MS Teams, or other tools.
  • Meet classes as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
