The primary role is learner-centered instruction, reporting to the Dean of Instruction, and providing equitable student support.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the subject taught is required.
  • 18 graduate credits in the content area are required.
  • Master's degree in education with a related bachelor's degree and evidence of ongoing professional development is required.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a learner-centered classroom environment that supports equitable student learning and success.
  • Teach established student learning outcomes and curriculum via Dunwoody's LMS.
  • Use engaging assessment methods to facilitate learning of the established course outcomes.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate student grades and attendance records.
  • Prepare syllabi in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
  • Evaluate students based on academic performance and intervene as needed.
  • Submit information or materials related to assigned duties as requested by college administrators in a timely manner.
  • Be accessible to students outside of class hours via Dunwoody e-mail, MS Teams, or other technology.
  • Meet classes as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
