Job summary

Blitt & Gaines, P.C. is seeking a motivated Collector to join our fast-paced, client-focused Collections team.

You will represent the firm and its clients by managing past-due accounts while maintaining a professional, respectful approach, engaging with consumers and third parties, negotiating payment solutions, and ensuring compliance with FDCPA and other regulations. The role emphasizes high-volume calling, accurate data entry, and adherence to company guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in collections, customer service, sales, call centers, or QA is a plus.
• Familiarity with collections software and systems (e.g., CLS) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced collections environment.
• Update and maintain accounts in the collections system daily.
• Negotiate payment arrangements in line with client and company guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy of customer data and payment methods.
• Comply with FDCPA and applicable laws in all interactions.
• Collaborate with teammates on projects and department tasks.
