Job summary

Valero Energy in Albert City, IA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator at our ethanol plant. The role unloads raw materials, loads ethanol and distiller's grains, and coordinates truck and rail movements on a 12-hour rotating day shift.

You will participate in safety, health and environmental programs, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure accurate data entry in scale house software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.

Responsibilities

• Unload corn from trucks and railcars.
• Load ethanol into trucks and railcars.
• Load distiller's grains into trucks, railcars, and containers.
• Operate plant scale house; weigh trucks and enter data.
• Take samples of corn, ethanol, and distiller's grains for testing.
• Communicate with local rail service to coordinate rail movements.
