Job summary

Valero is seeking a Project Engineer to manage multiple capital, expense and maintenance projects, from concept through completion, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. You will develop business cases, define objectives early, and select technology options.

Role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least two years of engineering and project management experience. On-site position with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher.
• Minimum of two years related engineering experience.
• Minimum of two years project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops the business case in Phase 1 and defines objectives in Phase 2.
• Manages multiple projects from conception through completion with safety focus.
• Provides cost estimating, budget oversight, and change management for projects.
• Mentors site engineers and guides contractors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
