Job summary
Valero Energy is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrician Technician for our ethanol plant. The role focuses on repair and preventive maintenance of plant equipment to ensure maximum production quality and quantity, while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least two years in electrical or instrumentation maintenance or an associate's degree in a related field.
Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or GED and minimum two years of electrical or instrumentation maintenance experience or associate's degree in a related field.
- On-site and in-person work required.
- Journeyman license and ISA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain plant equipment to maximize production quantity and quality.
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to scheduled or emergency work orders.
- Follow safety programs and participate in lock-out/tag-out and safe work permit processes.
- Collaborate with operations, shipping/receiving, engineering, and contractors to plan and complete work.
- Assist with new installations and project work as needed.
- Monitor equipment reliability and support plant turnarounds and maintenance programs.
