Job summary

Capital Group in Los Angeles seeks an ETF Writer to craft clear, compelling content for marketing materials, education and client communications. You will translate complex concepts into audience-friendly messages and collaborate with marketing, design and compliance teams.

You will build product knowledge, connect trends to implementation, manage projects end-to-end and contribute to the growth of the growth product platform while adhering to standards and approvals.

Qualifications

• Exemplary writing skills with emphasis on clarity and creativity to inspire action.
• Ability to work with designers to develop charts and tables for marketing collateral.
• Experience in financial services and writing samples.
• Knowledge of ETFs; knowledge of financial professional audiences is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Excel.
• Initiative to identify issues and recommend solutions; sound judgement for high complexity.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to grow beyond financial writing.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses are a plus; willing to obtain in future.
• Ability to collaborate and maintain relationships within Capital Group.
• Candidates may be asked to take a writing test.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of marketing and communications professionals to develop messaging meeting objectives while adhering to Capital Group’s standards for creative excellence.
• Write content for a variety of media channels, including email messages, websites, and sales collateral. Synthesize input from sources with diverse perspectives to create content representative of collective contributors.
• Translate complex concepts into audience-friendly communications.
• Build product acumen and help accelerate growth product platform by connecting thematic and long-term trends to product implementation.
• Adhere to Capital Group program, style, and legal and compliance guidelines; interact with the Legal team during approval stages.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, acting as the primary contact for each project throughout the development and approval cycles.
