Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to maintain and improve wafer fabrication processes, driving yield enhancements and solving complex problems. You will monitor inline etch issues, qualify processes on advanced tools, and work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 1+ year of related experience, with exposure to 300mm Dry Etch and major equipment platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field required.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Experience with 300mm Dry Etch processes.
• Familiarity with major equipment platforms.
• Understanding of SPC methods and APC techniques.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic chemistry and experimental design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inline issues in wafer fabrication etch process.
• Qualify wafer fabrication etch processes on advanced tools.
• Coordinate process qualifications with manufacturing and equipment teams.
• Analyze data to identify trends for processing decisions.
• Adjust process parameters and monitor equipment after maintenance.
• Execute change point management on Etch processes/equipment.
• Update SOPs as needed.
