Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will maintain and improve wafer fabrication processes, identifying complex problems and implementing solutions to drive yield enhancement.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience in 300mm dry etch, and familiarity with major tool platforms. The position includes night shifts on a rotating schedule, a competitive salary range, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 1+ year of related field experience.
• Experience with 300mm Dry Etch processes.
• Familiarity with major tool platforms (Lam/AMAT/TEL/Mattson/Hitachi/PSK).
• Understanding of SPC methods and their implementation.
• Familiarity with APC techniques and their usage.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry and experimental design.
• Strong communication for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to follow SOPs and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor in-line issues in wafer fabrication etch process, ensuring timely disposition of wafers.
• Qualify wafer fabrication etch processes on advanced tools.
• Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing and equipment teams.
• Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and inform processing decisions.
• Adjust process parameters as needed and monitor equipment performance after maintenance.
• Execute change point management on Etch processes / equipment.
• Continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
