Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks an ESU Production Planning Scheduler Manager in Chesapeake, VA to oversee elevator maintenance tasks for Navy ships. You will supervise a skilled trades team, plan production, and ensure timely work packages while adhering to QA standards.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical shipboard systems. Expect collaboration across departments and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor in related field.
• Hands-on repair and maintenance experience with navy carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors.
• Current DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience supervising skilled trades in maintenance tasks on carrier elevators and conveyors.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical shipboard systems.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to meet production demands.
• Advises management and ship customers on status of work, materials, and potential production problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel; prepares work orders for production or purchasing of components.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and logistics.
• Attends production meetings and provides in-process review and corrective action recommendations.
