Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies in Chesapeake, VA seeks an ESU Production Planning Scheduler Manager to supervise a team handling aircraft carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors. You’ll ensure safe, timely maintenance and compliance with technical references, coordinating with ship personnel and QA teams.

Qualifications

• 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 4 years with Master’s in related field, or High School Diploma with 10 years’ experience.
• Hands-on repair and maintenance experience with navy aircraft carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors.
• Current, valid DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain base/ship access.
• Experience supervising skilled trades in maintenance on aircraft carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical shipboard systems, especially elevators and conveyors.
• Knowledge of Navy QA Program, NAVSEA Standard Items, manuals, and Safety Policies.
• Experience coordinating with Planning and Scheduling to generate Work Packages and QA requirements.
• Experience working with logistics to identify and order parts for repairs.
• Experience processing admin, training, security and logistical requirements for personnel.
• Experience writing FWPs and WAFs for aircraft carrier maintenance availabilities.
• Experience in Navy QA Program administration (NQAP), 3M and supply system.
• Experience coordinating with ship leadership for scheduling personnel support and other requirements.
• Experience providing production management support for HM&E shipboard maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with materials to ensure timely flow of parts.
• Advises management and ship customers on work status, material availability, and potential production issues.
• Schedules equipment and personnel; prepares work orders and purchase requests based on master production schedule.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activities with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and logistics.
• Attends production meetings and provides in-process review and corrective action recommendations.
