Job summary

Michels Utility Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring all requirements are identified to successfully bid and win projects.

The role requires following up with subcontractors and coordinating with Project Management on bids and budgets. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, 3–5 years of estimating experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• Estimating experience or exposure to the utility industry.
• Solid Microsoft Office experience, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to bid and win projects.
• Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
• Collaborate with Project Management to monitor bids and budgets.
• Produce highly accurate work with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
