Job summary

Michels Underground Cable, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring we have everything needed to bid and win projects.

You will follow up with subcontractors and work with Project Management to track bids and budgets with accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering with 3–5 years estimating experience, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 3–5 years estimating experience or exposure to electrical/utility projects.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Solid Microsoft Excel proficiency and advanced MS Office skills.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure complete bids.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
• Collaborate with Project Management to track bids and budgets.
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all estimates.
